Explore and Download Datasets and Metadata
Once data has been grouped by metadata, you can explore and download (if necessary).
Explore and download datasets
- Check the checkbox next to “Expand All?” to automatically expand the entire hierarchy.
- Click on the “+” next to each group to expand or the “-” to collapse
- Click on the download icon next to a group, to directly download the entire group of files.
- Click on the group (dataset name) to
- view more information about the dataset and see the files under that group
- Download the metadata
It is recommended to use a script for data larger than 1 Gb.
Note: Organizing your data via the grouping hierarchy allows you to download the data in an optimized fashion.
Explore and Download Metadata Files
LabCAS provides downloadable metadata related to the files you have downloaded. If you have downloaded a specific group of data, you should also download the associated metadata.
View dataset metadata
- You can review the key metadata or click Expand to view all the metadata captured for this dataset.
Download Selected Metadata Files
To download the metadata files:
- select files using the checkbox next to the filename, then click Download metadata to download a metadata csv file
- You can click on a file name to view the metadata associated with that file and download the metadata csv file.
